BAYETÉ ROSS SMITH
Bayeté Ross Smith is an interdisciplinary artist, photographer and filmmaker. Bayeté has shown his work internationally, including the Sundance Film Festival, L.A. Film Festival, the Brooklyn Museum, TED and the Sheffield Doc Fest.
Tom Sachs is a sculptor, probably best known for his elaborate recreations of various Modern icons, all of them masterpieces of engineering and design of one kind or another. A lot has been made of the conceptual underpinnings of these sculptures: how Sachs' sampling capitalist culture, remixing, dubbing and spitting it back out again, so that the results are transformed and transforming.
Our collection of Streetbird Boomboxes are inspired by the world of Hip Hop and the importance of
self-expression. Our influences have also come from pieces from Harlem-based multi-media artist Bayeté Ross Smith and artist Tom Sachs.

Creative director for major record labels and designer of album covers and logos for notables including Mary J. Blige, Rum DMC, The Beastie Boys, De La Soul and Nike, has contributed a
graffiti painting on the actual walls of the space,
as well as two canvas-based pieces of work that speak to the heart of the concept.
Anthony Vasquez (aka AVONE) has painted a floor-based collage on the entryway of the restaurant, reflecting various representations of Harlem eating institutions, street activities and artistic culture. The entry also features an installation of dominoes as tiles, used as a high-top counter, recognizing
the popularity of dominoes and board games in cookout community gatherings.
Janette Beckman has installed several original photographs reflecting the true sense of community and spirit of the era.
The images from Anderson Zaca have been wheat pasted on Streetbird are a collage from a 10 year photo documentary called Block Party - NYC Soul
Antino Crowley-Kamenwati is a NY based versatile artist in many art forms. Using a broad range of mediums from pencils and paint, to found objects,and video most of Antino's current works reflect his views on politics, religion, sexuality,and sociology.
NYC based Artist , Robert, is a fierce contributor to Harlem’s thriving art scene. Robert developed a love for drawing and painting at 11 years old and never once felt a particular preference to any medium or texture of canvas. His style has evolved over the years, though Robert’s use of different combinations of marker, ink and paint simultaneously have been apparent in his work since the beginning of his career. Robert’s blending and application of vibrant colors to the imagery of his abstract art is a style all his own and serve as a reflection of Robert’s views on life and the beauty around us.
